Hi again sspacedistrict!. Not my regular workflow, but I made this 3D model playing with Houdini, it's a simple sphere that I took through a procedural process to create that "trail" effect, kinda hard to explain fully but it's basically a bunch of nodes regenerating and decomposing the geometry into that. Then I imported it into Blender, clean it up, render it with Cycles, and some compositing in Photoshop (for background and color touches)
