Was officially midway through Blender Basics here and was itching to create something. Inspired by those old 50s disaster movie posters...figured I could start in Blender and finish in Photoshop for that stylized look. The original alien model was a character model from DAZ3D. Couldn't quite figure out Diffeomorphic (getting the DAZ model into Blender cleanly) so my workaround was exporting him as a transparent PNG. Got an asset pack of flying saucers on ArtStation for $2, the night sky was from Physical Starlight and Atmosphere and the forest were random trees from Botaniq.
Once all that was rendered out, the rest was finished in PS since I still don't know my way around the Compositor yet. Someday. Just excited with how many doors Blender is starting to open idea wise.
⭐ - Bonus Easter Egg: My cat is hidden somewhere in the poster.
This came out Awesome! I don't see the meowmeow anywhere,e though.
GIF'd him out of his hiding space: http://pjz.gg/kitty 🤣
Super cool result. Ten minutes in and I can't find the cat. Looks like this is going to take a while.
Made a before/after .GIF, guess he hid a little too well :D http://pjz.gg/kitty
