It takes a lot of time and practice to develop 3D/Blender skills. Often seasoned Blender artists find themselves asking:
"I wonder if I can use these skills professionally?"
The answer is YES, you absolutely can. But the how? That's usually a mystery to those asking the question.
Kent Trammell, Jonathan Lampel, and Wayne Dixon are here to discuss how to freelance as Blender artists. Drawing from years of experience, they'll discuss their own journeys from amateur to freelancing professional with tips and tricks along the way.
My video card is a Radeon R9 270X, which is the only R9 that isn't able to use Blender's CUDA compatibility (or whatever it is). :(
I have an i7 4790k but I found some cheap 6 and 8 core Xeons on ebay. All the comparison's I've found so far are about gaming and not 3d programs
good advice omar. I've only just recently been asking people about freelancing. And getting money up front has been coming up a lot. Great to know.
thanks for the advice Omar,lol
I use an AMD FX-6300, a six-core processor. It's adequate, but there's definitely faster and newer out there. I don't know if these are still available.
buh dum.... pshh
Omar, thats brilliant lol
Freelance Tip #6: Always ask 50% upfront, if they don't pay, turn off the mirror modifier
Lol I want to build a poor man's workstation, but I'm not sure if it's worth it.
Only that mine is starting to get old.
