This stream is part of week 2 in the August 2019 Class: "Get Started Building Stuff with Blender 2.8"
Texturing introduces color to your models but materials make your model appear to be plastic, or wood, or metal, etc. If you're asking yourself "What's the difference", fear not! I will make sure you know the difference by the end of this week.
We will also be exploring the Eevee engine and how it works together with texturing and shading for a realtime workflow.
Class Live Stream Schedule: RSVP to get notified when we go live.

2.8 can render with both at the same time. it is only10-20% faster for me.
I'll keep that in mind.
I haven't tried in quite a while but when it wasn't working it was an instant crash
cpu gpu crashes my machine too
whoah I am imagining swords now
otowa right there in his properties editor: Render settings > Film > check Transparent
I enabled both, and I was wondering if that was a good idea.
There were issues with enabling the GPU and CPU at the same time. Not sure if that has been fixed.
[Q] can you repeat how to hide HDRI as background?
The Nun is Eevee, there's a story behind that
