    I could care less about autodesk and other commercial developers. Honestly most of the innovation is built in-house by studios. For years they've built new tools and functionality for Maya/3ds Max. But if those studios start - nay, continue - adopting Blender we're going to get that same innovation for Blender instead of Maya/3ds Max. THAT will be awesome
