This event is part of the October 2018 Class, "Shading & Lighting with Blender"
This first week is a shading and lighting crash course. We're overviewing render engines like Cycles, Eevee, material properties, node editing, mixing BSDFs, the Principled shader, lamps, HDRI's, and Global Illumination.
/me wonders whether I should start off the bat using the new keymap instead of the 2.7x settings..ah, I will jump right into it :-)
Self aware
Sounds like blender just became self ware
Interesting issue mmatthew1917. I wonder if 2.8 isn't yet fully compatible with 2.7x scenes
mmatthew1917 I think blender is looking for the file.
The key map itself, I don't understand the hate. I'm usually in the camp that I'm changing my hot keys to fit my needs anyway. I don't think I have a program that I'm using the default.
my my.. this is going to be a long night.. me feeding my curiosity re the 2.8 changes ;)
Well said, Char.
Like you said Kent the transition from 2.4 to 2.5 was a big deal to longtime users. But we got over it . 😁 We'll adapt to the newer changes also.
I like the tabs. Keeps everything in one place.
