Hard Surface Modeling in the Winter Months
Continuing with the winter theme, this week we're modeling a classic snow sled: The "Flexible Flyer" (more or less). The focus is on hard surface, polygon modeling. We'll be starting from scratch so this means sourcing reference images and generating a modeling sheet in addition to the entire 3D modeling process.
Join us for some fresh Blender 2.8 modeling shenanigans!
Hello Jake
Hello
Good afternoon, everyone!
or maybe particules .?
The trick would be to make the cracked corners appear to curl away from the surface. Not sure rigid body sim could achieve that..
I feel like a physicist reading and understanding that
can u use solid body simulation.?
Like maybe a voronoi displace modifier to get the depth, then decimate for topology that was optimized for the shapes, then use random face selection in edit mode to separate and delete portions. At the end of that process I imagine I'd be in the ball park
Sound painful with geometry, there has to be a kind of procedural way with displacement
with geometry
