In honor of the spookiest month, each week in October I'm going to be hopping on a stream to sculpt a goblin character with Blender. The little guy was designed by our very own Mr. Tim Von Rueden!
At this point, I anticipate making a sprint toward home plate! I plan to finish detail sculpting and calling this guy 100% sculpted.
Come hang out. Learn some character modeling tricks-o-the-trade. Bring your questions about Blender, modeling, sculpting, CGC, art, movies, music - whatever - and let's have some Halloween-themed fun.

Thanks! I'm for sure going to re-attempt the course after I've gotten more comfortable with sculpting!
zbrush uses what they call a 2.5D way they represent the model on the screen, blender represents complete 3D model...
is there a cg cookie course on blend shape rigs?
Im new to blender went from maya and the autodesk world due to school but love how blender has the sculpt mode.
Always wonder how Zbrush handles a billion polys when Blender can barely handle 5 million.
any advice for setting up basic low poly models human ones
I'm definitely a noob. I tried the modeling a sci-fi helmet course and it was like you said just jumping in the deep end. But other then that I'm pretty new to Blender. I've done a lot of modeling courses and tutorials, but I'm brand new to sculpting!
Time for a decimate?

Do you have any advice on where to start with sculpting? Like certain kinds of objects? What did you practice with when you first started sculpting?
