Ready to be a Mesh Modeling Machine?
Join me in another addon showcase stream as we continue hard surface modeling, this time adding DECALmachine and MESHmachine by MACHIN3 to our toolbelt. We'll talk about what they are, how they work, and where they belong in a game art workflow. On second thought I think I'd want Meshmachine first, decal machine second, hardops third. I just don't see myself doing a whole lot of that highly intricate mechanical detail that seems to dominate Hardops demos and renders.
I'd use Hardops and Boxcutter all the time. I don't think MESH machine or DECAL machine would be of much use to me.
From what I've seen, I would definitely give both a whirl.
I do like that about 2.8. 2.7x Blender has some wild shortcuts.
2.8 uses less shortcuts to make it easier for developers of addons. So it shouldn't be a big problem, I think.
Hardops will need some fixing for 2.8. 2.8 uses Q for the user-defined favorites menu.
