This event is part of the January 2018 Class, "Getting Started with 3D Modeling & Blender".
There’s still much more to learn about modeling with Blender! Remember, it’s a craft. Time + practice is the only way to develop your modeling skills. In today's stream we'll discuss the journey of becoming a skilled modeler as well as the potential for turning it into a career.
As the final Live Event for the class, I’m going to sift through homework submissions to commend my favorites and offer critiques!
eyes are important to be a seperate mesh...
How do you combine that with existing mesh OOmar?
I've always seen Kent add a separate mesh sphere for eyeballs
retopology will actually help you understand UVon a different level...
One question that I've had watching previous stream is if you would add another object in your model when you would want more clay ( adding sphere for exeballs for example)? Or would you just add it with blob brush?
I appreciate all the feedback!
Thanks for all the recommendations guys? I havent even looked into re-topo yet. The idea of UV has been tripping me up as well as anything with nodes outside of the principled bdsf
Nathan, the "Modeling Video Game Assets in Blender" covers these additional steps and it is more general than just being useful for game art.
so that if topology needs changed you don't have to re-UV...
Lighting, compositing, render... then camera tracking if it's VFX, then compositing
