Oh the weather outside is frightful... 🔥
It's December and cold in the US. Perfect weather for a warm fire! And thanks to a recent(ish) tweet, I've been inspired to create procedural fire:
No particles or smoke simulation - only about 2 dozen shader nodes. In this stream we will recreate the material from scratch and tweak it to look like a candle flame and a raging fire.
ggoanookie I am not sure, I am not a programmer, but it is using mathematical algorithms and as far as I know they do not repeat, ever, but like I said, I am not sure...
wow, THANKS @ritag that's really something there...
I'm amazed by the power of nodes
@ritag thanks for sharing. You are such a darling
I have flickering light effect on page 31 in my scrapbook of node trees. https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1rAuo1xAVLQNaETvWib8D829pBRbGyr2GNUfurnugsas
Quick, some one model a marshmallow for the campfire
spikeyxxx , really, not even in the underlying code driving the procedural ?
as in, if the parameters align, not by design (or "nature" of it);
Ah, that makes sense then. Thanks!
if I'm getting the question...
it CAN loop, but as "happenstance"
if that makes sense...
