Blender 3D is an essential tool for 3D creators around the world and has become the leading alternative to extremely expensive programs like Maya and Max.
Just finished this course after joining CG Cookie, i like that there are a variety of topics that i can search for as i started with a tutorial on youtube, then i had progressed to purchase courses on udemy but the task of going through a whole basics to advanced level more than once, though there were difference things in each course focused on, i wasn't as engaged as i am with the ability to search for topics directly and go through courses to learn what i'd like to at the moment, it was a good go over of the basics and helped to get a more broad understanding of what to expect working in blender. Quite well put together to.
What a great tutorial. I'm coming from another 3D software and this was a great refresher to build my confidence with Blender. I was happy to see some of the interface lessons towards the end, where so many other basics courses begin with it, and you're left with not really understanding why they matter.
I love the short lesson length, and intro and endings. Heh, I even found myself humming the music used throughout the course.
Anyways, worth the watch and I'm looking forward to PRESS START.
I've only recently picked up Blender and have watched the Blender 3.0 class here. It was amazing how easy to learn it feels with Jonathan's pace and flow. I'm done several other courses by now and they all felt easy because of the great foundation this course sets.
I recently subscribed to CG Cookie to keep on learning, but wanted to watch this one again to pick up on any differences. I'm particularly impressed that a couple of times he even mentions what's coming up on the next iterations of version 4. Way to future proof the class!
Definitely recommend this one for anyone picking it up for the first time, or needing a reminder on a couple of basics.
