Ok... I remember running across a vid that showed how to make flat plane trees and then using camera movement the trees always seemed to rotate n view. the idea was to make a forest looking scene with less objects therefore less polygon count.
I thought i saw this demonstrated in CG Cookie.
Does anyone remember this technique?

Otherwise just use Costraints, if you can get away with that.
