Loop Cut Snapping.

Is there any way to snap an edge created by loop cut (Ctrl+R) to a vertex?

I believe that is something becoming available in blender 2.9-ish release.

You can click and hold Ctrl after Ctrl + R to increment the edge slide. Or you can right click or cancel the edge slide after the edge is created and then moved along a local/global/custom orientation with vertex snapping.

This is indeed already available in 2.91.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cehZJkW7MU

Thank you! That's much better than adjusting the loop under a gigantic zoom in :)
