I have been following carefully, but after getting to the Grime Texture part, I realized that my ColorRamp does not produce the same result. Is this due to changes in versions of Blender since this tutorial was made? I am using Blender 2.83.
Hi ccjolson You appear to have stumbled upon something here!
What has changed is not the Colorramp, but the Roughness of the Glossy Node.
I did some tests and I might still be a bit off, but when you insert a Math Node, set to square root, between the Colorramp and the Glossy Roughness, you should get a similar result to the tutorial:
Spikey: The Sherlock Holmes of CG Cookie!
ccjolson You'll be happy to hear that we're actively recording a fresh version of this course as I type this.
