I've been working on a weapon-concept and have hit the Texturing stage. Now aside from texture painting i would like to use other objects with material (+texture) to bake on the weapon (wich is unwrapped).
As setup i've assigned the primer-object with a material and texture on it. On the weapon i've did the same thing, but with a different material and a target texture. In baking options the following parameteres:
Bake type: Diffuse
Influence: Color (only)
Selected to active: On + Ray distance to 0.5.
In materials i select the image node with the target texture before hitting bake.

So i want to bake "normal bake" (=actually for the diffuse info) to "Redeemer V4". The result is left-top.
Could anyone help me with this? You'll be a hero ;)
I just discovered, that you need to connect the Image Texture Node with a Diffuse Node and then the bake works fine.
Edit: the Diffuse Node should be connected to the material Output.
Post that final render here along with the node setup. I am interested in this.

I wonder if you could also bake normal maps to other normal maps, if you connect them to diffuse for baking. While having them to work normally.
