Resizing the Eyeball

Love your new tutorial on creating the procedural eyeball....

but using 2.82a when I resize your model to fit a normal size person, I get this problem. Tried adjusting the mapping, etc and nothing works....

any suggestions..

thanks

You are probably using Object Coordinates. That means that the boundaries of the Eyeball are 1 (unit):

Also note that the Iris was made with a spherical gradient, that is offset on the Y-axis by about 1 unit!

What you did is re-scaling the sphere and then applying the scale, which is the same as scaling in Edit Mode, which doesn't change the size of the sphere, but only changes the positions of the vertices:

    Thanks...

    Still working at it

Question: When rigging it to the head, do the scales of the Head and Eyes need to be scale=1 or can the be different?

I did set the eye origin to center.

Afaik it doesn't matter what the Scale of an Object is or where its Origin for rigging (so also not if different parts have different Scales), but everything having Scale (1, 1, 1) is more appealing to me...

What you could also do, is to not use Object Coordinates, but Generated and also not use a Gradient Texture for the Pupil and Iris, but something like this:

But, like I said: you should be safe to do the rigging as you have it now (but I'm not a rigger, so don't take my word for it...)

Many Thanks... I too prefer 1:1.... so I do it out of habit...
    Will try this...
