So I started off on a new path in Feb 2020 to learn game development.. then that turned into I need to learn to draw assets and model 3d assets so I started learning to draw.. and started to take a beginner course in blender on udemy. That course led to wanting to learn more, but realized in those courses I was just learning the basics over and over on-top of the specific projects.. I wanted to dive deep into blender.. and that is what brought me here.. Re-enforcing the fundamentals before I step forward but happy I know most of the hotkeys now pretty efficiently lol.
Here is my little snowman scene using only primitives for the snowman.. the scene however i did slip into edit mode just to mess with the ground a little.. lol tried to keep basic :)
Thank you so much.. :) I always want to do more... but i end up spending hours and hours on something that was supposed to be quick and simple.. so trying to learn when to cut it off for scope of specific project(s)..
Sci-Fi Crate Exercise... Added a few more insets and extrusions and then put material on it :)
Learning this has not been easy for me either. Following the Tuts has helped grow my skills then I pick a few exercise projects that are small but challenging. I am getting better but it has taken dedication. Stick with it and you'll be surprised. Just remember to pace yourself. Great things were never made in 1 day (or 1 month for that matter)
