I was worried that not using the proxy system would give me issues following this series and it finally happened. Using the linked library feature in newer version of blender makes it impossible to edit many values in the animation scene. The worst one being, that I can't animate the magazine constraints as it won't allow me to edit the Child Of constraint between the magazine and Root bone of the weapon. Is there any way to work around this, while still maintaining the whole link structure between blend files? Thanks.
Hey ccgagunga , the theoretical beauty of the proxy system is that it should allow you to override just the constraint values and have everything else still link to the original file. As of right now using the 2.3 daily builds however, this is still not the case. I thought for sure it would be by now! You may want to make the object fully local to wrap up the tutorial. Since we're only working with a few objects and not actually changing the character, it shouldn't be an issue. Alternatively, you could disable the linked constraint with the eye icon and create a new constraint with the same values below it - that will keep it linked and you'll be able to animate it like you should.
