Why not offset using the "Delta Transform" panel?

That would allow offsetting along the keyframed channels without requiring a copy of the original animation,

    Hi Dustin.  Yep, it could be done that way, but I wanted the user to practice dealing with the regular transform channels there were already animated (or not).   That way they can learn why something is snapping back to a certain value if they have keyed a channel that they didn't need in the original animation.

    Also I don't like people to use Deltas, as beginners will most likely end up animating on both the transforms and the delta channels. Which can create a whole bunch of headaches to deal with later down the road.
