Hello everyone!
Can someone tell me how to export a model from Blender to Sketchfab more correctly than I did?
Actually, this is how the model looks in the Blender viewport:
And here is the Sketchfab viewport:
It looks good in Blender, but problems are viewport on Sketchfab: - "oily" shading where there should be dirt, as if inverted normals on some boards.
Привет, Michael.
By the looks of it, that is mainly due to the lighting in Sketchfab. You can try a different HDRI. Maybe you also need to tweak the shaders in Sketchfab a bit; as far as I remember they use a 'translation' of Blender materials and that can be a bit off. (Or a lot!)
I tried uploading to Sketchfab and couldn't get the materials to look even halfway decent, but I must say I gave up quite soon and avoid exporting as much as I can; if I even hear the word Export, I put on a blindfold and some loud music and pretend to be an ostrich;)
Eah, but we both understand that this is not the way of the Jedi. :)
Of course, I need to figure out what is the reason (and sooner or later I will figure it out). But for now - without wasting time - I will delve into the study of the Substance Painter and the Marmoset Toolbag.
