Feature Request: turn off notifications that advertise new courses

Sorry they 👾 you but I enjoy those notifications. Let’s me know that new content is available. Once I dismiss them they don’t come back for me at least

My notification hides in a tab like a weird piece of grey toast at the top of the window. I take a peek at it every once in a while just to see if it has changed. I'm not too bothered by it.

And that's why an opt-out option would make everyone happy :)

Ah......I misunderstood. Your title made it sound like you want them to just turn them off completely for all users.

Adding a user option for each user to turn them off in their preferences is a valid feature request.

I think that is a good comment for the Cookie Helper Life-Buoy and telling the admins you would like that as a feature request.
