FPS Gun Modelling

When I tried modelling this gun,I found out that i need to deal with a lot of curved surfaces.I have modelled the gun,but my mesh looks weird without sub-d modifier.Should I add one or should I stick onto the bevel method as suggested in the gun modelling course???

    Hi, could you share a screenshot of what your result looks like with and without subdiv? If you're modeling the exact same one as in the course I'd recommend sticking to beveling. Which part of it looks weird?

    Cool design! I'd still recommend not using subdiv for this one. If you need something to be more rounded, add in that geometry in edit mode. Also, try using Auto Smooth and Mark Sharp to improve the shading. We cover that in the course at some point, but I'm not sure if you're at that stage yet. I'd recommend leaving it as flat shaded up until that point.
