hello!
i was modeling a shoe as an exercise and i got stuck on the texturing process (eevee).
someone already suggested me to leave the poly count as low as possible (with 218 vertices i think i'm good) and to add details (creases, holes, sole pattern, brand logo, ...) later with textures.
now, how should i move on next? how do i actually add those details with textures? do i have to manually paint the texture on the mesh? how do i unwrap the shoe correctly so the seams don't look off like this?
i never really worked deep with textures and if someone can point me to the right direction to follow for this type of work, it would be very much appreciated, thanks
Hey jjulienleg just so happens, Sayan Mondal (Boundless Blending) has a new tutorial on modeling, shading and texturing shoes in 2.8X.

Sneakers in Blender 2.8x - PART II - Shading and Texturing [ Beginners ]
Hopefully these will help.
