The inner cylinder starts out smaller than the outer cylinder

How does it suddenly become the same size as the outer cylinder? I don't see a screenkeys S operation

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Can you link me to a certain part of the video? You can grab a link to a specific time in a video with the clock icon in the upper left corner of the video player:

ddigdoug ... It appears that Kent has snapping set up to affect scaling and presses the CTRL key to snap the cylinder to the other cylinder. It also appears that the S key press may have been unintentionally edited out of the video because he is definitely scaling when he pressed the CTRL key.

@theluthier ... Kent, please correct me if this is not accurate.

That sounds very plausible but I still don't know exactly what part of the video we're talking about. It's quite hard to remember all the little aspects of all my vids 😅

Oh sorry, I thought I had linked the time frame when asking the question. I'm new to the site.
I think Paul is correct, a screenkey was accidentally edited out because there was definitely a scaling operation.

At 13:40, the inner cylinder is scaled at 1.0, while at 13:45 it is scaled to 1.183.

I got stuck on this as well and just copied the scaling values manually (1.183) to proceed.
