The Voxel Remesher is now in master It introduces a new sculpting workflow without any of the limitations of Dyntopo (no geometry errors or performance penalty). It is also useful for simulations and 3D printing.

Blender is surely going into new heights. can't wait for 2.81 come out. :) though most likely will be moving to daily builds for testing. definetly good year for blender.
According to Pablo Vasquez's livestream today, the voxel remesher is now available in the nightly beta builds. He demonstrated it on the stream and I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming.
You said it Kaj, it seems like Blender is improving by leaps and bounds almost every week. Maybe it's always been like that, and I just never noticed because I was never keeping a close eye on development news; but over the past couple of years it just feels like development has accelerated to a whole other level and hasn't slowed down since.
jakeblended I think the development fund really helps with streamlining and skyrocketing all this awesome progress. And the extra attention on 2.8 by the industry professionals that now jump on Blender to learn it (YouTube channels flipped normals & dinusty comes to mind), and big studios that now join the fund and who will probably share their knowledge as well, and things like the epic games fund , can only make progress even better going forward in the future I think. So excited to see what Blender will bring in the coming years! 😃
