Can't Use Brush Alpha

I downloaded an alpha for painting textures, but when I try to select it in the mask menu for brushes, it isn't there.  Why?

    Hi William, it's in the paint brush settings, under texture.

    spikeyxxx When I click on it to choose a texture, it isn't in the menu.  (I'm using 2.79.)

    williamatics  In 2.79, you'll have to add the new Brush Texture in the Texture Panel in the Properties Panel on the right (see second picture).

    williamatics Maybe I misunderstood; do you mean that Blender can't find the texture?

    Then : where is it on your computer, are you looking in the right place? Is it maybe zipped? Is the format supported? Blender supports:

    and also, since 2.70:  .psd, which is really great, because there are a lot of free brushes to be found for Photoshop ( in .psd format).
