For my animation , I am having audio problems with using MPEG- 4 with the codec set on h. 264.Can someone help . Additionally, the last time this was rendered, it took 12 days to finish.Does anybody have a way to speed up rendering.

What are you PC specs, out of curiosity?
Hi saki, make sure that in the Encoding section, near the bottom, the Audio Codec is not set to None. (With MPEG-4, I would use MP3.)
As for the speed, have you considered using eevee? Or even Blender Render if you are afraid of 2.80.
Also you can usually get away with less samples in an animation, just tick the clock next to the Seed in the Samples Settings.
Other tricks to speed up rendering are: buy a new computer with a better GPU, buy more new computers, use a Render farm,....
