EEVEE Add-on Access

Where do you go in 2.8 to access your add-ons? They show up in preferences but window access not same as 2.79

Does your window look like this?

  • Chuck Shultz(fxswan) replied

@charmn-one Yes.... and I can load it, but once I do, where do I find them? For example, Cloth Weaver used to be on left tabs for 2.7x, Wolf's PBR add-on would show up in the materials list.  But even if I am in Cycles, it does not show up.

I see Anti-Tile from Blender Market shows up in the Node Editor...

So wonder what is their thinking now for mesh addons like Cloth Weaver, MakeHuman, Manuel Bastoni, etc

ffxswan if the add-ons are not optimized for 2.8 (not many are...) then they will not show up anywhere in 2.8...

    hope this is helpful

ffxswan  as me1958424  said, not all add-ons are optimized for 2.8 yet.  I have I know that Manuel Bastoni wasn't when he quit.

Looking at Cloth Weaver on Blender Market, they haven't updated their add-on for 2.8 yet.  Not sure about Make Human.

Check with the makers of the add-ons to see if they have optimized their products for 2.8 yet.

As for now, although a lot of creators are updating to 2.8, it's still in beta and changing daily.

A couple of resources to help, I hope.

I'm not at my computer with 2.8 so I'm sorry I can't tell you where to look.

ffxswan This would be a great thing to add to the 2.8 Transition thread if you haven't already.
