Hey yall!
I made a misty forest scene that i rendered over night and when i checked it this morning it had rendered 5% lmao. There's a lot of particles and also volume mist, wich i know takes a long time to render but it has never rendered this slow. I rendered with 256 samples so not super high. Then i tried with just 24 samples so really low and it was equally slow.
So my question is how do i speed up my renders?
Thanks
Joakim.
Ways to help reduce render times.
Try some of those ways if you haven't before and see if those help.
yeah, volumetrics can be rough on render times. Make sure for test renders you crank up the "step size" value under "Volume Sampling" in the render tab. Higher values mean faster redering (substantially), but lower quality.
