My next project is a living room scene. Since I'm new to architecture, I decided to start small and make a simple room with few things in it. I have just finished the modeling and will start texturing it next. Critiques are welcome.
I took a screenshot from the camera view and added comments:
I hope my handwriting is readable :)
Since you use 2.8 I'm not sure the Archipack addon works perfectly but I'd recommend you to use it: it provides excellent base for most elements, that you can further detail.
Also, look for standard dimensions of doors, ceiling heights etc, unless you want this living room to be cartonny (or meant for hobbits :D).
Hope that helps, good luck! Archviz is tricky but fun.
tbrbn I did look up the real-world scale of things. Also, I can read all of you handwriting except for the word that comes after "non-standard". Thank you for the critique; I will try to implement it.
@williamatics I wrote "Non standard dimensions" :)
I still think there's something odd in the proportions and/or the position of the window and door in comparison with the dimension of the room (but maybe it's just me). Maybe try adding a human model to compare?
tbrbn Ooh, you're right! I really should add a human! What is wrong with the @?
williamatics I mean that the window you made is just a hole in the wall. In reality it's a bit more complex, it's made of many parts.
Actually, there's a hidden object that fills it. I guess I just forgot to unhide it.
