I try to model the inside of an old style prison cell and I am wondering what would be the best and clean way to model the bricks for walls. Would it be better to model them one by one or is there a particular workflow that is good for that?

You could model one, then use the array modifier to build blocks quickly, or you could take a big plane and add displacement maps to give the illusion of a brick wall. Depends on what you want to do. For a game? Definitely do maps. For things other than a game? A big stack of blocks could work.
Anyone else have other suggestions?
