Hello. My try at texturing the revolver from @jlampel course. Fully procedural.

    u r not joining Kent's class ? u r missing a lot of fun !

  • Omar Domenech(dostovel) replied
Ah man, I got hung up on making the revolver. I've started my exercise but I'm so bad at sculpting the human form. I don't know if I'll post it.
  • malhomsi replied

Mi comandante, no me hagas preguntas difíciles por favor. No soy un escultor, soy un guerrilla y hago las armas. Un día en el futuro lejano ... tal vez ... veremos.

    Nice gun btw :-)

  • Omar Domenech(dostovel) replied
Well commander, that is actually a tiny gun, a mouse could carry it, if he has a permit. Also it's perfect for people with very tiny hands.

    Your gun looks awesome Omar.
Also thanks for sharing images of the Cycles nodes network behind it, which is very informative material to learn from. Keep those screenshots coming :-)

My head just exploded looking at those texture node pics. Great work! (And if you can't tell, I'm fairly new to Blender.)

Side note @theluthier @jlampel (because I don't know who to tag): It looks like bookmarked community posts don't show up in our personal lists of bookmarks. (Was bookmarking Omar's amazing texture-node organization.)

Interesting, I just gave it a shot and it seems to work for me. If you see something like that, please take screenshots of the problem and message [email protected] , or use the chat in the bottom right. That'll help us track down the issue. Thanks!

  • Kent Trammell replied

dostovel vBy "procedural" you mean all Blender nodes, not "Substance procedural"?

  • Omar Domenech(dostovel) replied
@theluthier All Blender nodes, no image textures used. Shader Forge being put into good practice there. :) I've never used Substance, although I hear it's one hell of a software. Also, Dolores the Mouse is still in mouse jail I'm sad to report.

Great Job Omar. Looks really Great.

Well done. An old revolver that seems custom as if someone built it. What kind of tools did you use most of the time to model this?
