When will there be more contests? I want to enter one, but I can't find any. A contest would be a great way to learn because it would give me a deadline, I would receive professional critique, I would be restricted, etc.
Try looking at Weekly CG for contests outside of CGCookie. I'm sure there are some planned, they just haven't announced them yet. Then you can post them here and get critiqued by the community.

The weekly cg thing sounds great. It gives me a deadline with some restrictions, it helps me improve my work, and who knows? Maybe someday I'll win.
