How do I fix this? I'd like to make this collide somehow

The problem:
Ringer goes right through the bell...
I'm not sure what needs done to prevent this from happening.

The set up has a a rig of vertices with a cloth modifier, parented to bones and constrained to empties to create a jiggle motion...

Any ideas or hints?

    Hey, nice setup! Here's two things you can do: 

    1. Make the bell a collision object. 
    2. Either give the cloth some thickness, since it won't collide unless it has faces, or switch it to a soft body instead.

    That worked.
    Made the bell collision, and then gave the cloth thickness. It worked great.
    Thanks Jonathan that, got me on the right track.






    Plans to do: (for later)
    Hide cloth sim from inside bell
    Animate bell it self  to match ringer
    Make paper bend and twist.
