so I have this model of a alien drone that I made and the leg wont render
The video doesn't give me a clue. Can you share the .blend file?
Same material on body and legs?
Maybe Render is enabled on the top outliner level, but disabled on some lower levels? You could expand everything in the outliner to check, or just Control-click the Render icon twice to toggle all the levels off and on.
The leg object had render disabled. It wasn't obvious because it wasn't at the top level of the outliner.
