To whomever thinks they can solve this problem,
I've added a fully rigged makehuman mesh to my Blender project. However it seems that even if I move the mesh object in object mode, the origin point doesn't move with it. Whenever I jump into edit mode, the mesh reverts back to where the origin point originally was.
When I tried to move the origin point to to the object's center of mass, it still didn't move. I don't know why this is though. The object also came with many vertex groups, (perhaps because it's already rigged).
Here are some screenshots to explain my dilemma (don't worry, the character doesn't have genitals, so it's family-friendly) ;)
Here it is in object mode (notice how the orange origin point didn't follow the figure, also how there's a dotted line just underneath the origin point):
Here it is in edit mode (the two white floating circles are its eyes, and the white specks are the armature bones):
I haven't found a lot of writing on this issue, so if anybody has ever been through this exact same scenario and found a way to keep the origin point with the object mesh, please help me out!
Sincerely,
Saopang
It's difficult to see, but it seems like you have set the pivot point to "3D Cursor", and you probably want "Median Point".
