Question about unwrapping

Hi again!

I've noticed that you unwrap each object separately. And then, you unhide all objects and unwrap the whole assembly again. Why is that? If we unwrap all pieces one by one, why do we then unhide everything, select everything, and unwrap the whole thing?

Thank you! I'm pretty new to uv unwrapping and texturing.

Hi! The initial unwrapping is just to place the seams in the right places - the actual unwrap from that will be the wrong size since it doesn't include all the pieces. Once we know that all of the seams are in place, the last unwrap includes everything and will properly scale all the UV pieces accordingly.
