Creating the dents: modelling vs sculpting

As the title says, I'm wondering if the dents should be better created using sculpting.

I imagine adding these small details using modelling could become so time-consuming in the long run (compared to just picking a brush and adding these details using a tablet pen in Sculpt mode).

Any reason why we didn't go the sculpting way? What is your advice?

Thanks!

    Hey Skinner92 :)

Kent emphasizes several times throughout the modelling phase that he is going for the low poly style with the chest.  Although sculpting may be quicker and easier , it will give you a very poly heavy mesh that will ultimately have to be retopologised down to a low poly version and that in itself is probably more time consuming than Kent's modelling technique.

If poly-count or time is not a huge factor in a project , then sculpting will indeed give you a much more varied and artistic result , but for what Kent is trying to achieve , I certainly think his way is more suitable for this specific project.
