1) Why do you merge the mirrored branch on the UV Unwrap? 2) Crease/Sharp, differences?

1) Is It about optimizing render times? Like, the simpler the UV, the shorter the time It takes to render?

2) And why did you use "Mark Sharp" instead of Crease?
