When I add Object Offset Empty, the 2nd Copy (Array) grows in size. Why?

Try selecting your original item (being duplicated with array) and do Control (cmd) A and choose apply scale . If you've rotated it you'll want to apply rotation as well . I believe that will likely fix your issue. If not it could be something to do with the position /rotation of your empty .
