I really love the results you get with this technique and I'm a big fan of being able to procedurally generate landscapes. I'd love to use this trick with a current project of mine, however I'm concerned about being able to move the result to other software for further refinement. Is there any way to bake out the shader to the geometry, or alternate way to use these techniques that results in a static mesh?
Well that's a bit of a bummer, but that technique may actually still work out for me. As part of my plan was to sculpt out some footprints, I could always tighten up the muddiness at the same time. Not perfect, but it still saves alot of time. Thanks!
For anyone else wondering this, Ian discovered a solution and here's a video of how to do it. Thanks, Ian!
