I started the exercise and my dominos shake. I scaled the scene, place the shakes per minute to 200 then 400 it still shakes.
I scaled, ctrl+a, I sanpped it back to origin point.
I'm frustrated as I feel like trying randomly try to solve a problem without even understanding it cause, and I wish to get a structured learning, to understand so I can use this for future situations.
Can you please help?
Hey donbonbon , do they shake from the start or do they shake only when they're supposed to be lying still on the ground? I'd be happy to take a look at the file if you upload it to dropbox, pasteall.org , or something. Generally the things you tried would be the right way to fix it.
Hi Jonathan,
Thanks for your help.
I think I found the reason,
Bug T52238. Gravity ignores units scale. The issue is simply that certain subsystems of blender ignore the unit scale, while others do not. A mismatch basically.
I read some discussions about the issue. It seems the workarounds is to divide the gravity by the applied scale. In my case I changed the gravity to -981m/s² and it worked.
Suddenly, even with normal starting values, the physics well behaved.
This bug should be dealt in V.2.8, I still use 2.79.
In case it can help, here's the link to my Blend file.
