love your courses a lot and especially this face. How are you do this kind of character with these controlls? Specifically, this mouth over feature is awesome. you are replacing the mouth, right? for 2d it seems much simpler than anything I tried with shape keys.
Could you roughly describe how to achive this in blender.
(a video tutorial/course would be even better and i guess a lot of people are interessted in this. Especially, because the rigging section in cg cookies is quiet small.

In a rough description, take a look at the objects in the outliner and look at the drivers.It just uses a simple distance driver. If the control is too far away do don't render AND don't show in the viewport.
