Hello, I have a problem which kind of blocks my progress here...
When I bake something for example Ambient Occlusion it does not matter what texture I choose in the UV Image editor, it always bakes the results on a random texture.
I am using Blender Renderer and today I tried it again and the first bake did seem to work but after that the texture the things get baked to is random again. This also applies for other bake like diffuse or vertex colours.
I would be very thankful for a tip what is going wrong... goolge does not really help me with this problem, they say make sure you are in edit mode with the vertecies selected and select the texture you want to bake to... I did that .... still a random (with random I mean always the same but not choosen by me) texture.
I can't say I've ever seen Blender Render bake to a random texture. So long as you select all UV's in the UV/Image editor and then select the image you want to bake - effectively assigning the image to the mesh's UVs - the bake should go straight to that selected image.
Double check that you don't have "Cycles" enabled when you bake. The selection/assignment setup is different over there.
If the problem persists, upload your .blend file to dropbox (or similar service) and post a link to download here. I'll take a closer look.
