For some reason this has slipped my mind; how do you grab everything and leave the root bone on the flat form?
Also when I individually select all bones except root and 'g' the Rivet, the head does some whacky behavior.
If I follow your instructions about grabbing feet and torso for movement I go from the above video to
Ouch! Looks painful.
What you have there is double transformations on the head. Why?
Because it is free to move around from its parent (not connected) and you have it selected when you are translating all the other bones. Therefore the its parent is getting translated AND it is getting translated.
You can hide the Root bone when you are not using it, that way you can’t select it by accident. (use the button in the UI)
As for the animation, you are missing the keyframes on the feet to have them stay on the ground when the body is still preparing to take off. You need to make sure you key all the parts together or the feet will move to early (because that is what you told Blender to do)
Hope that helps.
Thank you Wayne; I feel like you certainly said that in the video as well. I just get caught up in other details. I'm writing these notes down for future reference and again I appreciate your time in reviewing my issues.
