Dynamic Topology doesn't work the same in 2.79b version...

Hello mister Kent. :) Hope you are well.

I'v followed your instructions until 8:30 and when I'm trying to expand the head area it goes like this:

 

Clearly I can see that it looks different and something wrong... 

My configuration is like this:

I'v read other comments about this problem, but I still don't know what to do, because lack of knowledge about the program I don't know. Yes I will experiment, click some random buttons and see what happens, some coordinates also messed up because the form is making two mirrored shapes...

Kent please help really. I would appreciate a lot.

    EDIT: I'm stupid. Just need more attention next time... It's important WHERE I pull exactly meshes also..... Jesus.... Sorry guys...

    No worries! You're not wrong actually. Dynamic Topology values did change a bit since this course was recorded. Back then I would use a detail size of 30 starting off and get down to 15 or 10 for fine details. In modern Blender I start at 10 and get down to 5 or 3 for fine details.
