Reducing number of vertices

Hi, Jonathan!

If, while low poly coversion I simply dissolve edges, which not support anything, instead of edgesliding vertices - is it any worse method? While doing this I made a lot of ngons, sure, but as in any case I will use "triangulate" in the end - is there a difference?
