lets say that you are almost done with a project, the client have been approving everythiing so far but in the close end he ask you to go in an entire new direction where you have to spent more time in it. Did they pay extra?
Ideally you would have a contract that states exactly what work you are doing, so if they change their mind then they would pay extra according to what the contract stipulates.
