how do i create the single vertex to start

how do i create just the single vertices's, when i try to follow your video, after deleting just the vertices's from the cube, i cant make the single vertices's to link them together to block out the frame, they only show up in object mode as individual objects

Hey John, you can use Ctrl+click in edit mode to place just a single vertex. If you already have a vertex selected, Ctrl+clicking will add another one and connect them with an edge. You should be in edit mode the whole time. Hope that helps!
